How Was Gacy Caught
The police had suspicion with Gacy about disappearance of some of the young boys, but had no real reason to believe that he did it. They would ask neighbours and they all believed that there would be no way Gacy would do that. The police found reasonable grounds to access a search warrant, they booked him on possession of marijuana. So one day they went in and what they found was astonishing. They found a ring that belonged to one of the missing boys, they also found that there were three other boys who had worked for Gacy and had gone missing, they found a roll of film that belonged to one of the boys who had gone missing as well. Gacy finally admitted to murdering someone under self defense and told the police the body was buried under the garage, but instead of digging right away the police decided to search the crawl space which is where they found the first corpse. When they told Gacy they were digging under the house he finally admitted that he had killed 30 people and most were buried under the house. He admitted that he would keep some of the corpses under his bed or in his attic for a few days before burying them. They found a young boy in the Des Plaines river with his underwear stuffed in his throat that is how they could link that murder to Gacy.
